What Does a Medication Care Coordinator Do?

A Medication Care Coordinator collaborates with every point of contact in a pharmacy to enhance the patient experience and improve medication-related outcomes. The Pharmacy Technician Principles and Practices course, combined with Introduction to Human Anatomy and Medical Terminology, provides the foundational knowledge required to become a certified pharmacy technician. You’ll gain familiarity with medical terminology and learn essential skills such as prescription processing, pharmacy nomenclature, biopharmaceutics and drug action, dosage calculations, common mathematical formulas, conversions, and more.

Upon completing the Medication Care Coordinator program, you’ll be prepared to take the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) and the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exams, both offered by the NHA.
